1. Are ecoinno® products truly plastic-free?
Yes, ecoinno® products are free from all artificial and chemical substances. During manufacturing, oil- and water-resistance is achieved physically, not chemically. Therefore, the products contain no microplastics, PE (polyethylene), PLA (Polylactic acid), CPLA (crystallized polylactic acid), PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances), or any coatings, not even water-based ones. Since there are no joints, they also do not contain glue.
2. What are ecoinno® products made from?
eсoinno® products are made from 100% plant fibers, derived from fast-growing green plants. The manufacturing technology allows the use of multiple types of plants.
3. Can I heat or cook food in the microwave with ecoinno® meal boxes?
Yes, our ecoinno® meal boxes, especially GCM® types, can be heated, baked, cooked, or defrosted in the microwave up to 220°C.
4. At what temperature can ecoinno® products be used?
ecoinno® products withstand extreme temperatures and are specifically designed for freezing and reheating foods (GCM® category). They can be used in a broad temperature range from -196°C to +220°C.
5. Are ecoinno® products truly oil-, fat-, and vinegar-resistant?
Yes, ecoinno® meal boxes and bowls are resistant to oil, fat, and vinegar and are compatible with all types of food. The lids are available in GCM® and NP types; the NP lids are partially oil-resistant and are offered at a more favorable price.
6. Can hot drinks or alcohol be poured into ecoinno® cups (coffee, tea, beer, wine)?
Yes, ecoinno® cups can be used for both hot and cold drinks, and they are also suitable for alcoholic beverages.
7. Do ecoinno® cups require the SUP logo?
No, ecoinno® cups are free from the SUP logo, as they contain no plastic, microplastics, or coatings.
8. Are ecoinno® products compostable?
Yes, ecoinno® products can be composted at home, enriching the soil. They decompose in about 75 days upon contact with soil or compost.
9. Can plastic products be replaced with ecoinno® products?
Yes, ecoinno® has developed the world’s first biodegradable, entirely plant-fiber-based material, which is the only sustainable solution to replace single-use plastics.
10. Do toxic substances release from ecoinno® meal boxes or bowls during heating?
No, unlike plastic or coated paper boxes, heating or baking does not release any toxic substances from ecoinno® products. They preserve the taste, aroma, and freshness of food and are flavor-neutral.
11. Are ecoinno® products sustainable?
Yes, ecoinno® products fit into a circular economy. They can be used in bioenergy plants or be composted and are 100% biodegradable.
12. Do ecoinno® products comply with EU regulations?
Yes, ecoinno® products meet all EU standards and guidelines, which encourage the use of products free from artificial, chemical substances (PE, PLA, CPLA, PFAS), microplastics, and substances harmful to human health.
13. What certifications do ecoinno® products have?
They hold certifications including TÜV Austria Marine, TÜV Austria Home, TÜV Austria Industrial, Certificate of Compliance, Din Certco, BPI, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and FDA.
14. Do ecoinno® products have FSC certification?
No, because they do not require wood or forest resources for production. Their raw materials are natural, fast-growing plant fibers.
15. Are the 2050® cutlery completely plastic-free?
Yes, the 2050® cutlery is entirely free of plastics and made from natural materials.
16. What are the 2050® cutlery made of?
They are made from various grains (soy, corn, rice), flour, and eggs.
17. Are the 2050® cutlery compostable?
Yes, after use, they can be thrown into home compost and will decompose within 14 days.
18. Where do we deliver?
We deliver to all EU countries. Smaller quantities are shipped via DPD, while larger orders are delivered to the customer by our own vehicle or Dachser.
