Why is plastic and its production dangerous?
Plastic production imposes enormous environmental burdens on the planet: it emits greenhouse gases, contributes to climate change (throughout its entire lifecycle), pollutes soil, water, and air, destroys aquatic life (animals ingest or get entangled), and microplastics enter the food chain, which can also harm human health (hormonal disorders, inflammation, cancer).
